Who knew we’d have yet another busy week in Pott. County? But we certainly do!
We kick off the weekend on Friday with the only rural Pott. Co. all-you-can eat Fish Fry at St. Patrick's Parish Hall in Neola! Or another option is to hit Impact Hill in Oakland. They are having a bike rodeo with the Sheriff’s Dept. and family game night with hamburgers and hot dogs served by the Pott. County Cattlemen starting at 6pm! Yum! Talk about good family fun and food!
Speaking of fun, the Botna Valley Achievers 4-H Club will be hosting Hancock’s Easter Egg Hunt at 10am on Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Hancock. (Do note this is due to flood relocation.)
You also have the option of a free breakfast and can voice your opinions about mental health issues at the Community Conversation with Pott. Co. Public Health and Live Well Omaha at the Oakland Community Center. Free childcare will be offered.
Don't forget Goat Yoga at Doe's and Diva's in Honey Creek!
The day continues with Garry Clark’s book signing at the Buck Snort in Oakland. The author of Unlikely Viking will be on hand from 11 to 2pm to sign copies of his book about growing up in the projects and landing at Dana in Blair to play football only to realize the Midwest is truly the good life!
From there, you can make your way to Treynor Prom’s Parade of Stars. It will take place at the Treynor High School Gym starting at 4:30 and the lucky prom goers will then move onto the first event to take place at the Buckingham Palace Center, a great new venue you’re going to want to see! I've seen it and WOW!
The evening ends with the ever-famous Riverside Wrestling Club Nut Fry at Tailgators in Oakland! Serving will begin at 4:30, as will the silent auction and raffles. No better way to say you helped fund summer camps for the Bulldogs! (I'll simply leave the comments at that.) :)
Sunday brings a special event at the Peace United Church of Christ as the Walnut Community Choir will be holding a concert for the public. What a way to usher in the week of Easter!
You can grab breakfast before you go at the Girl Scouts Donuts for Dollars in Avoca, a fundraiser for Charley Faulkena. It runs from 7-11am. It always feels good to help out when you’re grabbing a donut on the run!
And you can end your weekend fun with Bingo at the Crescent Roadhouse Bar and Grill! From 2 to 4pm, they play for drinks and prizes. It’s always a good time!
Uniqueness is certainly on tap for this weekend in Pott. Co.! Don’t miss your chance to support local!
